About the Position

As a Manufacturing Engineer, you will be the link between design, purchasing, planning, project management, and assembly. You will work on developing, improving, and standardizing processes for the assembly, testing, and packaging of our marine propulsion systems. The work is project-based and takes place in close collaboration with colleagues in assembly, planning, quality, engineering, and Supply Chain - especially with Supplier Development.

You will be a key person in shaping and improving our assembly processes for world-leading propulsion systems, together with knowledgeable colleagues in a global organization that drives development towards a more sustainable maritime future.

You will actively contribute to designing routines, driving improvement work, and implementing new working methods in line with AQAP standards and LEAN principles. The role is both operational and strategic – you will participate in project meetings, audits, and process development while ensuring that production meets requirements for quality, safety, and efficiency.

Examples of Responsibilities

  • Participate in order handover, planning, and process meetings to capture project requirements

  • Define and improve assembly processes (SOP instructions, assembly improvements)

  • Manage production preparation, item routings, and production orders

  • Conduct risk analyses and follow up on deviations (Focus Q, NC issues, and register/manage cases in Synergy Life)

  • Support the implementation of Microsoft Dynamics 365

  • Ensure compliance with AQAP and other standards

  • Collaborate with Supplier Development on subcontractor issues

  • Support classification coordination, documentation, and audits

  • Participate in international collaboration within Global Assembly

The position is located in Kristinehamn and is part of the Supply Chain organization. International travel may occur.

About You

We are looking for someone who is engaged and structured with the ability to create conditions in assembly processes both locally and globally where order, quality, and safety are natural parts of the work.

Your working style is characterized by analytical thinking, attention to detail, and perseverance, combined with a strong desire to understand, improve, and develop processes and technology.

With a natural ability to collaborate and communicate, you build trust both internally and externally. You thrive in cross-functional environments where technology, processes, and people meet, contributing to an open, solution-oriented, and knowledge-sharing climate. You see opportunities where others see challenges, initiate development, and get others involved in change work. Through your sense of responsibility and holistic perspective, you contribute to creating long-term value for both the business and customers – and have fun along the way.

We will place great emphasis on personal suitability. We see the potential for development in the role for the right person, so if you check off some of the points, we welcome your application.

We see that you have:

  • Post-secondary technical education, e.g., in mechanical engineering, production technology, or mechatronics, or equivalent experience

  • Experience from the manufacturing industry and technical work

  • Familiarity with documentation, processes, and quality systems

  • Experience with business systems (Microsoft Dynamics, SAP, or similar)

  • Experience working in a global organization

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with LEAN and risk analysis

  • Experience with CAD or process preparation

  • Experience with digital transformation/change journeys

  • Interest in quality and HSE

We Offer:

With us, you will be part of an international environment where advanced technology and engaged colleagues come together in a close-knit team. We offer a workplace with flexible working hours and reduced working hours that create a balance between work and leisure.

There is also the opportunity to thrive both at work and outside of it – with wellness benefits, additional support for sports events, access to a newly renovated gym, and subsidized lunch in our staff cafeteria.

As an employee, you will also be covered by favorable insurance and parental pay that provides security throughout your working life.

Since our Manufacturing Engineers work with confidential material, both security clearance and export control are required for this position, and questions related to citizenship will be part of the selection process.
